Savor the picturesque 6.4-km excursion near Tsinstikeptum 9, located in British Columbia. Embrace a moderately challenging trek, that typically takes 2 hours and 31 minutes to finish. This path is a favored destination for avid birdwatchers, outdoor enthusiasts, and runners alike, but no need to worry about any overcrowding as you can relish in peacefulness during quieter moments. Make sure to bring along your furry companion on a leash, as dogs are always welcome to join in on the adventure.
The trail leading up to the creek crossing isn’t too challenging, but things start to change once you’ve crossed the water. The route may be a bit steep, however, it’s not overly complicated or difficult. The trail is well maintained, with clear signage to ensure you don’t get lost, and fantastic views of Kelowna can be spotted on the way up. While it’s not exactly a shady route, it can be comfortably tackled on cooler days. If you’re feeling up for it, you can take the Elk Trail to Crags Trail and loop back to Lebanon Trail for an even more amazing journey. Assuming you make it to the top, which you likely will, you’ll be greeted with a breathtaking panoramic view of Kelowna that is bound to leave you in awe!

Looking for a beautiful outdoor space that offers both exercise and stunning scenery? Look no further than this 11 hectare park, which boasts exceptional views and plenty of space for hiking, running, and soaking up the natural beauty all around you. While the park was damaged in a 2003 wildfire, it’s now a shining example of nature’s remarkable ability to recover and thrive. A quick hike to the top of the park will give you a workout, but the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and Okanagan Lake make it well worth the effort. To visit, simply follow South Ridge Drive and look for the signs – just remember to keep your furry friends on a leash and leave the smoking materials at home.

If you’re looking for a scenic hike that leads to gorgeous waterfalls, Crawford Falls is a must-see spot. Finding the trail head can be a bit tricky, but worth the search! Look for the small path that leads you to the falls. To get to the lower falls, the roughly 20-minute hike is quite challenging, but once you arrive, it’s a sight to behold. The falls cascade down 20 feet, and if you continue for an additional 10 minutes, you’ll reach the larger falls, plummeting down 40 feet.
You can access Crawford Falls via Gordon Drive to Dehart Road, then take Crawford Road to Westridge Drive. Follow Canyon Ridge Crescent to Canyon Falls Court, and you’ll discover the Kelowna City Parks trail that takes you to the falls. Bonus: dogs are welcome, but remember to keep them leashed.

Nestled in the Village of Kettle Valley, Quilchena Park is a  delightful family-friendly community park that rose from the ashes of Okanagan Mountain Park fire in 2003. The park has an extensive playground with many slides, including the famous tunnel slide down the hill that’s sure to thrill youngers ones. Moreover, the splash park is a perfect spot to cool off on hot summer days. The park boasts plenty of lush green space, landscaped gardens, and numerous benches ideal for lounging and enjoying nature’s beauty.
